We are Pam and Jurek and we work with sound to create sounds for mindful meditation, soundscapes and community concerts with a variety of instruments chosen for their beautiful harmonics, their resonant qualities and the way they create unusual and varied soundscapes when played together. We love creating sounds which relax, entertain, surprise our listeners. We are passionate about sound and what it can do, its effects on well being - physically, emotionally and mentally.
We believe that focussing on the sounds, meditating on the sounds can take us into a place of deep relaxation where the body's natural healing can take place

Singing Bowl Meditation with high frequency bowls
These beautiful bowls have lovely high tones especially useful for raising energy and bringing your awareness to the present time.
Use headphones or good quality speakers to experience this sound at its best. We welcome feedback or just tick 'like' if you've enjoyed the track.
Our aim is to keep the meditation simple and achievable and allow you to experience the sound in your own way; simple guidelines for the meditation are set out below.
Sit in a comfortable position for you, allow your shoulders to drop and rest your hands in your lap or on your knees., keeping your body relaxed with your back straight perhaps leaning a little away from the back of your chair
Take a few deep breaths allowing your out-breath to be longer than your in-breath, feel the rise and fall of your body as you breathe in and out.
Return to your body breathing naturally, feel the rhythm of your body, the familiar movement of breathing
Now place your attention on the sound of the bowl, fully focus on the sound, following each strike
Notice the quality of the sound, how the sound pulses gently before it disappears
Notice if the sound affects any part of your body more than another
As you listen to the sound of the bowl notice your mind calming and your body relaxing
When your mind wanders as it will do, bring your attention back to your breath for a moment or two, notice the familiar rise and fall of your body then focus again on the sound
Notice how your body feels at the end of this sound meditation
Notice if there have been particular thoughts that you have
Give yourself a couple of minutes to simply sit before beginning gentle movements, perhaps gently rubbing your hands together, flexing your toes and circling your ankles
Finally place your hands together over your heart area and acknowledge this time you've given yourself to relax and refresh

I started listening to this with my headphones and for each hit my cats eyes would widen and then she finally looked at me and realized the sounds was coming from my earbuds next thing I know she’s trying to steal my headphones

We are long term fostering two cats and they both enjoy it when we play the bowls - one likes the gongs and the other goes upstairs when we play. Seems my bad thoughts are drowned by this frequency. I was listening to this before sleeping, I was in Tibet in my dreams, i was standing and looking at the beauty around. I talked to one of the lady she asked me questions and there was another man he said come on 17th.
I tested with a frequency meter and confirm it is indeed 528. Many videos on youtube are not. Thanks for this one.

What size is this and what’s the difference between this and a planetary earth?
Good questions - if you click on the video description of videos you will get more information. This is a 38” Sound Creation Earth The sounds from a sound creation gong (SCG) are quite different, they are made differently - if you look at the surface of a SCG you can visibly see this. I suggest you search on the Paiste website for description of both types of gong or search you tube for a planetary earth gong and hear the difference Hope that helps best wishes Pam

I'm in a bit of a rabbit hole looking for acoustic instruments that can imitate various natural elements (winds, rain, etc.) for a orchestral piece I'm writing, and stumbled on your video after reading something about an ocean drum. _"An ocean drum? What is THAT?"_ I thought. An ocean drum is peaceful fascination, that's what it is. Thank you for posting this.
There’s a story behind the ocean drum - 12 years ago when I’d been unable to travel to the sea for a number of months and was yearning to hear the water either crashing on the rocks, or breaking on a shingle beach and then pulling the shingle back, tumbling shells and sand and stones as the wave went back to the sea I saw an ocean drum advertised and thought this was something intriguing and maybe I could use with my singing bowls and gongs and maybe it would truly evoke the sound of the sea. It did. I had no idea how beautiful it would be. I played it with my imagined sound track of the sea already sounding in my head and somehow they melded together. It gave me comfort and has remained an integral part of the soundscapes we create. It’s a Remo 22” Ocean drum and in my opinion it’s worth getting the larger size as the sound is more controllable in speed and volume. Someone kindly bought me a beautiful 16” ocean drum as mine is a bit worn (I love that it is worn, a reminder of all the beauty it has created) and I find the 16” a bit harder to play, the ball bearings roll too quickly - having said that I’m enjoying picking up the 16” every now and then, would be a shame not to play it. For wind you can blow gently into a fairly large conch shell - sometimes find them in second hand shops or eBay. Or ‘wind whistles’ which can be Peruvian clay vessels. I use fronds of bamboo tied together for rustling sounds. Different leaves produce the different sounds. If you are using recordings aspen leaves on the branches of the tree in a gentle breeze are beautiful. Sometimes a flumie played on a large skin frame drum can create an ethereal sound and of course a flumie played well on a wind gong can sound like whale song. Enjoy your searching, i feel it may be a happy, maybe overwhelming at times rabbit hole. Best wishes - Pam

How can we tell if this is truly 528hz?
Good question - you can download an app for your phone and check, I think we were using spectrum analyser for Android at the time. There may be some variance in apps and due to the quality of the system you are using to playback the video. Best wishes - Pam and Jurek
